Before troubleshooting, ensure the printer is turned off and disconnected from the power source for safety.
Use an M2.5 Allen wrench to unscrew the 4 screws that secure the top cover of the mainboard.
Disconnect the FAN2 fan wire from the mainboard and set aside the mainboard top cover.
Use an M2.5 Allen wrench to unscrew the 4 screws securing the top cover of the heated bed Adapter Pcb. Then, set the cover aside.
Kobra 2 Max uses two different connectors to secure wires to the power supply.
Open the transparent cover and, as shown in Figure 1, use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the 3 screws securing the boat-shaped switch wire and the ground wire. Remove the boat-shaped switch wire, including the ground wire.
As shown in Figure 2, use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the 4 screws securing the mainboard power wire and remove the power wire.
First, disconnect the printhead wire harness from the mainboard because it obstructs the screws that need to be removed.
Use an M2.5 Allen wrench to unscrew the 2 screws securing the power supply.
Use an M3.0 Allen wrench to unscrew the 2 screws securing the power supply on the other side.
Remove the power supply. Be prepared for it to get stuck during removal. You can gently wiggle the power supply back and forth to take it out.
Take out the new power supply. Open the power supply cover and, as shown in the image, remove the 3 screws for later installation.
Install the power supply in its designated position. Align the screw holes and use an M2.5 Allen wrench to pre-lock the 2 screws previously removed on one side.
On the other side, use an M3.0 Allen wrench to pre-lock the 2 screws that were removed earlier. Finally, tighten all the screws.
When installing the boat-shaped switch wire and ground wire, pass the screws through the circular terminals first and then align them with the screw holes on the power supply to secure them.
When installing the mainboard power wire, since the cable connectors have an open shape, after loosening the corresponding power supply screws, you can insert them directly and then tighten the screws.
After installation, gently pull each wire to check if it's properly secured and if there are any loose connections. If issues are found, please reinstall.
Take the previously removed cover and use an M2.5 Allen wrench to tighten the 4 screws securing the top cover of the heated bed Adapter Pcb.
Reconnect the printhead wire harness.
Plug in the mainboard cooling fan and use an M2.5 Allen wrench to tighten the 4 screws securing the mainboard top cover.
Ensure the input mode for the power supply voltage box is correct. Adjust it to the suitable voltage setting based on your local voltage conditions.
Insert the power cable into the printer, turn on the power switch, and confirm that the touch screen displays correctly. If the touch screen remains black, return to the wiring installation steps and check if the wires are installed in the correct positions.
