Before replacing the power supply, ensure the printer is turned off and disconnected from the power source for safety.
Move the heated bed forward to expose the fixing screws of the power supply (making it easier to remove them). Use the M2.5 hex wrench to unscrew the 4 fixing screws on the top of the power supply. Then, use the M2.5 hex wrench to unscrew the 2 screws on the side of the power supply facing the Y-axis motor.
Invert the printer.
Use the M2.5 hex wrench to unscrew the 4 screws securing the bottom fixing plate of the power supply. Remove the power supply's bottom fixing plate for later installation.
Use the M3.0 hex wrench to unscrew the 2 screws on the bottom side of the power supply.
The Kobra 2 Neo uses two types of connectors to secure the cables to the power supply.
Open the transparent cover. Refer to Figure 1 and use a crosshead screwdriver to remove the 3 screws securing the boat-shaped switch cable and the ground wire. Remove the boat-shaped switch cable. Refer to Figure 2 and use a crosshead screwdriver to loosen the 2 screws securing the mainboard power cable and remove the mainboard power cable.
Remove the old power supply, keeping in mind that it might be wedged by the marked sheet metal, so gently lift it upwards and then slowly towards the right to remove it.
① Take the new power supply and place it in the machine's bottom power supply location. Be cautious, as it might get stuck by the sheet metal, so you may need to adjust its position slightly.
② Open the new power supply cover. Use a crosshead screwdriver to remove the 3 screws on the boat-shaped switch cable and ground wire locations, and then loosen the 2 screws on the mainboard power cable location.
When installing the boat-shaped switch cable and ground wire, first thread the screws through the circular terminals of the cables, and then align them with the screw holes on the power supply to tighten them. When installing the mainboard power cable, since the cable connectors have an open shape, after loosening the corresponding power screws, you can directly insert them and then tighten the screws.
After installation, gently tug on each cable to ensure they are properly seated, and check for any loose connections. If any are found, please reinstall them.
① Reinstall the screws previously removed from the side of the power supply using the M3.0 hex wrench, aligning them with the bottom sheet metal and power holes to secure them.
② Reinstall the bottom fixing plate for the power supply and screws removed earlier using the M2.5 hex wrench. First, loosely lock the 4 screws, and then tighten them one by one.
Move the heated bed forward to expose the power supply screw holes. Use the M2.5 hex wrench to align with the sheet metal and power holes, loosely lock the 4 screws and the side hole with 2 screws, then finally tighten them one by one. (Avoid tightening only one screw, as it may block the other holes.)
Please confirm if the input mode for the power supply box voltage is correct. Adjust it to the suitable voltage setting based on your local voltage usage.
Plug the power cord into the printer, turn on the power switch, and ensure the control screen displays correctly. If the control screen is black, refer back to the cable installation steps and check if any cables are placed in the wrong location.
