Before proceeding with the replacement, ensure that the printer turned off and disconneche power to ensure safe operations.
Use an S3.0 hex key to remove the two screws securing the top cover.
①Use an S2.5 hex key to loosen the two screws on the coupler.
②Lift and rotate the lead screw by hand to separate it from the coupler, then remove the coupler.
①Disconnect the wires from the Z-Axis motor.
②Use an S3.0 hex key to unscrew the screws securing the motor bracket, and remove the motor assembly.
Use an S2.5 hex key to unscrew the four screws securing the Z-Axis motor and separate the bracket from the motor.
Replace the motor and use an S2.5 hex key to securely fasten the motor to the motor bracket. (Long screws secure the internal screw holes, and short screws secure the external screw holes.)
①Use an S3.0 hex key to reattach the motor and bracket to the gantry.
②Reconnect the motor wires to the motor port.
①Place the coupler back on the motor rotor and rotate the lead screw by hand, inserting it into the coupler hole.
②Lift the coupler, first use an S2.5 hex key to secure the lower coupler screw.
③Then use an S2.5 hex key to tighten the upper coupler screw.
Align the holes on the top cover with the lead screw and reattach it.
Use an S3.0 hex key to secure the screws that fix the top cover on the lead screw.
Note: Follow the above steps to replace the Z-Axis motor on the other side. After completing the replacement of components, please re-level your printer.
