Before replacing the Y-axis pulley, make sure to turn off the device and disconnect the power to ensure safe operation.
① Remove the spring steel from the heated bed and place it aside for later installation.
② Use the S2.5 Allen key to unscrew the 6 screws securing the heated bed.
Be cautious not to lose the spacers between the heated bed and its support.
Place the heated bed and the bottom spacers aside for later installation.
Note: Since the heated bed wires are not disconnected, place the heated bed in a movable range.
① Turn the knob of the Y-axis tensioner counterclockwise, remove it, and place it aside for later installation.
② Use the S2.0 Allen key to unscrew the 2 screws on the left and right sides of the Y-axis tensioner housing,
remove the housing, and place it aside for subsequent installation.
① Remove the belt copper buckles on the front and back sides of the bed-fixed sheet metal using a wrench tool, and take off the pulley of the Y-axis tensioner, placing it aside.
② Slide the bed-fixed sheet metal out from the direction of the Y-axis tensioner.
Use an open-end wrench to fix the nut, then use the S3.0 Allen key to counterclockwise unscrew the 6 pillar screws securing the pulley,
and remove the pulley, screws, spacers, and nuts.
① Take out the new Y-axis pulley and assemble it with the previously removed screws and spacers.
② Install the newly assembled pulley component onto the Y-axis sheet metal.
Take out the previously removed nuts, screw them onto the screws, fix the nuts with an open-end wrench,
then use the S3.0 Allen key to clockwise tighten the screws one by one.
① Slide the Y-axis sheet metal from the Y-axis tensioner.
When sliding in, pay attention to the fact that there are 3 adjustable hex eccentric pillars on one side of the sheet metal,
and the pulley should face the direction of the touch screen.
② Check if the Y-axis sheet metal wobbles.
If there is any wobbling, adjust the hex eccentric pillars located below the Y-axis sheet metal until it slides smoothly and doesn't wobble.
(Adjust the origin of the hex eccentric pillars as marked in yellow in the diagram.)
③ Take out the previously removed pulley component, thread the belt through the pulley component,
and install the copper buckles at both ends of the belt onto the Y-axis sheet metal.
Take out the previously removed Y-axis tensioner housing and screws, align them with the screw holes on the Y-axis aluminum profile,
and use the S2.0 Allen key to tighten the screws.
① Take out the previously removed bottom spacers for the heated bed (2 long and 4 short, place 2 long ones in the middle part of the Y-axis sheet metal),
align them with the screw holes on the sheet metal, and place them.
Then take out the heated bed and screws, align them with the spacers and sheet metal holes, and use the S2.5 Allen key to tighten the 6 screws one by one.
② Take out the previously removed spring steel and install it on the heated bed.
Take out the previously removed Y-axis tensioner knob, turn the Y-axis tensioner knob clockwise until it is tight, then turn it counterclockwise one full turn.
After replacing the Y-axis pulley, it is recommended to recalibrate the device according to the following instructions.
Connect the device's power cord, press the power switch on the side of the device to start it.
Note:
When inserting the power cord, please avoid crossing it with the print head cable to prevent interference.
In the main interface, click on the "Tools" icon ➜ "Control" icon ➜ "Module Calibration" ➜ "Position Calibration."
The machine will automatically perform detection and pause near the top the calibration module.
You could adjust the nozzle to the center position of the calibration module using the distance units and X/Y axis movement direction on the interface.
Once done, click "Save," and finally, perform the automatic leveling again.
On the device's main interface, click the "Tools" icon - "Control" icon - "Auto- Level" - "Confirm" to start the leveling process.
Follow the set process, and after leveling is complete, click "Finish." This process takes approximately 15 minutes.
Note:
① Please check whether the PEI board is installed before leveling.
② The leveling sensor is only used for platforms with metal surfaces.
If you replace the printing platform by yourself, please choose a platform with a metal surface to ensure the normal use of the automatic leveling function.
On the device's main interface, click the "Tools" icon - "Control" icon - "Vibration Compensation" - "Confirm" for resonance detection.
Follow the sequence to detect the X and Y axes. Click "Finish" after the Y-axis detection. This process takes approximately 15 minutes.
Note:
① Place the printer in a spacious and stable area during vibration compensation to avoid interference from other resonance sources.
② There may be significant noise during the vibration compensation process, which is normal.
