Phillips Screwdriver
M2.5 Allen Wrench
Before replacing the power supply, ensure that the printer is turned off and disconnected from the power source to ensure safe operation.
Move the heated bed towards the touch screen to expose the power supply fixing screws. Use an M2.5 Allen wrench to remove the 4 screws that secure the power supply. Then, use the same tool to remove the 2 screws on the side of the power supply facing the Y-axis motor.
Invert the printer.
Use an M2.5 Allen wrench to remove the 3 screws securing the bottom fixing plate of the power supply. The bottom fixing plate is attached to other wiring using zip ties, so you can rotate the bottom fixing plate to the left to avoid interfering with the subsequent power supply replacement.
Kobra 2 Pro uses two different types of connectors to secure the wires to the power supply.
Open the transparent cover and, as shown in Figure 1, use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the 3 screws securing the boat-shaped switch wire and the ground wire. Remove the boat-shaped switch wire, including the ground wire. As shown in Figure 2, use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the 2 screws securing the mainboard power wire and remove the mainboard power wire.
Remove the old power supply.
Remove the new power supply and place it in the printer's bottom power supply position. Be aware that during placement, it may be obstructed by sheet metal. You can adjust its position accordingly.
When installing the boat-shaped switch wire and ground wire, you can pass the screws through the circular terminals first and then align them with the screw holes on the power supply for tightening. When installing the mainboard power wire, you can insert it directly into the corresponding position of the power screw after loosening it, and then tighten the screw.
After installation, gently pull each wire to ensure they are properly installed and not loose. If any issues are found, please reinstall.
Place the power supply's bottom fixing plate in the correct position. Use an M2.5 Allen wrench to pre-lock the 3 screws aligned with the screw holes. Finally, tighten them one by one. (To avoid covering the holes with one screw when initially tightening, preventing others from aligning).
Move the heated bed towards the touch screen to expose the power supply screw holes. Use an M2.5 Allen wrench to pre-lock the 4 screws and 2 side screws aligned with the sheet metal and power supply holes. Finally, tighten them one by one. (Avoid tightening one screw first, as it may block the others' holes).
Please confirm the input mode for the power supply box voltage and adjust it to the appropriate voltage setting based on the local voltage conditions.
Insert the power cable into the printer, turn on the power switch, and confirm that the touch screen displays correctly. If the touch screen remains black, return to the wiring installation steps and check if the wires are installed in the correct positions.
