S2.0 Allen Key
S2.5 Allen Key
Before replacing the X-axis motor, ensure that the machine is powered off and disconnected to ensure safe operation.
Refer to the diagram below and unplug the X-axis motor cable and X-axis limit switch cable.
① Rotate the red knob counterclockwise on the X-axis belt tensioner to loosen it, facilitating the subsequent installation of the X-axis motor.
② Use the S2.0 Allen Key to unscrew the single screw securing the X-axis limit switch cover and remove the cover.
Use the S2.5 Allen Key to unscrew the four screws securing the X-axis motor and take out the X-axis motor.
Take out the new X-axis motor, plug the X-axis motor cable into the motor connector, connect the machine to the power supply, and turn it on.
On the main screen, click on the "Settings" icon, go to "Move," and click the "Home" icon in the circular button.
Observe whether the new X-axis motor rotates normally. After a short wait, a popup message will appear on the machine control screen:
"X-axis zeroing failed. possible cause: 1. The X-axis limit sensor is abnormal. Please check the sensor or wiring. 2. The X-axis motor abnormal, please check the motor or wiring."
This is a normal situation.
If there are no abnormalities, please power off the machine, unplug the power cable, and X-axis motor cable to ensure safe operation.
① Take the tested X-axis motor and install it on the left Z-axis sheet metal.
(Note: Ensure that the belt is fully engaged with the X-axis motor synchronization gear, and the X-axis motor cable is facing downward)
② Take the four screws removed earlier from the fixed X-axis motor, use the S2.5 Allen Key to pre-lock the screws one by one.
Once all four screws are pre-locked, tighten them.
Note: The yellow-marked position needs to have the grounding wire threaded onto the screw before fixingg it to the X-axis motor.
The grounding wire should be within the sheet metal corner range, or else it may get stuck when installing the X-axis limit switch cover later.
Take the X-axis limit switch cover and the previously removed screws, use the S2.0 Allen Key to tighten the screws and fix the cover to the left Z-axis sheet metal.
Plug in the X-axis motor cable and the X-axis limit switch cable into their respective positions.
Rotate the X-axis tensioner knob clockwise until it is tightened, then rotate it counterclockwise twice.
After replacement, please re-level your 3D printer.
