Before replacing the pulley, make sure to turn off the printer and disconnect the power to ensure safe operation.
①Remove the spring steel.
②Use the S2.5 Allen Key to loosen the 4 screws securing the heated bed. Be cautious of the spacers between the bed and the bed support. Place the heated bed and spacers aside for reassembly.
①Rotate the knob on the Y-axis tensioner counterclockwise to remove it. Place it aside for reassembly.
②Use the S2.0 Allen Key to tighten the 2 screws on the outer shell of the Y-axis tensioner. Remove the outer shell and set it aside.
①Before removing the fixed Aluminum Plate of the heated bed, release the belt buckles on both sides of the Y-axis tensioner. Take off the Y-axis tensioner pulley and set it aside.
②Slide out the fixed Aluminum Plate from the direction of the Y-axis tensioner.
Use an open-end wrench to secure the nut, then use the M3.0 Allen Key to unscrew the 4 pillar screws securing the pulley in a counterclockwise direction.
Use wet wipes or tissue to clean any dirt or dust caused by pulley wear on the Y-axis aluminum profile. Avoid any interference with the movement of the heated bed.
①Take out the new pulley. Refer to the diagram, assemble the previously removed pillars, screws, and the new pulley.
②Place the adjustable hex eccentric pillar in the larger hole of the heated bed shim. Use a nut to pre-lock the screw
(Note: the nut for the adjustable hex eccentric pillar is integrated with the washer).
Finally, use an open-end wrench and M3.0 Allen Key to tighten the nut and pulley screws.
①Slide the assembled pulley from the Y-axis tensioner side towards the Y-axis motor.
Be cautious of the orientation of the pulley with two adjustable hex eccentric pillars facing towards the touchscreen.
②Take out the previously removed Y-axis tensioner pulley. Loop the belt buckle around the pulley and secure it to the fixed position on the Aluminum Plate.
Take out the previously removed spacers for the heated bed. Align them with the screw holes on the Aluminum Plate. Then, take out the heated bed and screws, align them with the spacers and Aluminum Plate holes, and use the S2.5 Allen Key to tighten the 4 screws.
①Take out the previously removed Y-axis tensioner outer shell and screws. Install it on the Y-axis aluminum profile and use the S2.0 Allen Key to tighten the screws.
②Take out the knob of the previously removed Y-axis tensioner. Rotate the knob clockwise until the Y-axis tensioner is tight, then rotate it counterclockwise by 1 turn.
Shake the heated bed. If there is noticeable movement, use an open-end wrench to adjust the hex eccentric pillar under the heated bed until there is no more wobbling, and the Y-axis moves smoothly.
After replacing the Y-axis pulley, perform auto-leveling again. If the nozzle presses against the heated bed too much or there is too much gap, manually adjust the Z-axis offset.
