S3.0 Allen Key
Open-end Wrench
Before replacing the pulley, ensure that the printer is turned off, and disconnect the power source for safe operation.
① Rotate the knob on the X-axis tensioner counterclockwise to loosen it.
② Remove the belt copper buckles on both sides of the fixed X-axis sheet metal.
If it cannot be removed, continue loosening the X-axis tensioner.
Use the S2.5 Allen key to loosen the 4 screws securing the print head module.
Place the print head module within the range of the cables for subsequent installation.
Use an open-end wrench to secure the nut, then use the S3.0 Allen key to counterclockwise rotate and remove the 3 pillar screws securing the fixed pulley.
① Place the sheet metal on the X-axis aluminum profile, then install the pulley to the print head sheet metal. Use the previously removed nut to pre-lock the screws.
② Use an open-end wrench to secure the nut, then use the S3.0 Allen key to clockwise rotate and tighten each screw one by one.
③ Slightly shake the print head module. If the print head noticeably moves,
use an open-end wrench to adjust the hex eccentric spacers of the fixed pulley on the back of the print head until the print head module no longer wobbles,
and smoothly moves on the X-axis without jamming.
Take out the previously removed print head module and screws.
Use the S2.5 Allen key to loosen the 4 screws securing the print head module.
Pay attention to the cable routing of the print head, as shown by the blue line in the diagram.
Ensure that cable routing is not interfered with by other accessories.
Install the belt copper buckles on both sides of the X-axis sheet metal.
Clockwise rotate the knob on the X-axis tensioner to tighten it, then counterclockwise loosen it by one turn.
After replacing the X-axis pulley, perform auto bed leveling again.
If the print result shows issues such as nozzle pressing too hard on the bed or too much gap, manually compensate for the Z-axis offset.
