Before replacing the pulley, ensure that the printer is turned off, and disconnect the power source for safe operation.
① Remove the magnetic build plate.
② Use the S2.5 Allen key to unscrew the 4 screws securing the fixed heated bed.
There are pillars between the heated bed and its bracket; avoid losing them. Place the heated bed and bottom pillars aside for subsequent installation.
① Rotate the knob of the Y-axis tensioner counterclockwise, remove it, and place it aside for later installation.
② Use the S2.0 Allen key to tighten the two screws on the left and right of the Y-axis tensioner housing. Remove the housing and place it aside for later installation.
① Remove the belt copper buckles on both sides of the heated bed fixed sheet metal, and take the Y-axis tensioner pulley aside.
② Slide the fixed sheet metal out from the Y-axis tensioner.
Use an open-end wrench to secure the nut, then use the S3.0 Allen key to counterclockwise rotate and remove the 4 pillar screws securing the fixed pulley.
Use wet wipes or tissues to wipe off any dirt or dust generated by the wear of the pulley on the Y-axis aluminum profile,
preventing interference with the movement of the heated bed.
① Take out the new pulley. Refer to the diagram below, assemble the previously removed pillars, screws, and the new pulley separately.
② Place the adjustable hex eccentric spacers in the larger holes of the heated bed sheet metal. Use a nut to pre-lock the screw (Note: the nut used for the adjustable hex eccentric spacers is integrated with the washer). Finally, use an open-end wrench and S3.0 Allen key to tighten the nut and pulley screws one by one.
① Slide the assembled pulley from the Y-axis tensioner towards the Y-axis motor.
When sliding, pay attention that the bottom of the sheet metal has one side with 2 adjustable hex eccentric spacers,
and the pulley should face the direction of the touch screen.
② Take out the previously removed Y-axis tensioner pulley, pass the belt copper buckle over the pulley, and secure it to the fixed position on the sheet metal.
Take out the bottom pillars removed earlier, align them with the screw holes on the sheet metal, and place them.
Then, take out the heated bed and screws, align them with the pillars and sheet metal holes, and use the S2.5 Allen key to tighten the 4 screws.
① Take out the previously removed Y-axis tensioner housing and screws, install it onto the Y-axis aluminum profile, and use the S2.0 Allen key to tighten the screws.
② Take out the knob previously removed from the Y-axis tensioner, clockwise rotate the knob on the Y-axis tensioner until it is tight, then counterclockwise loosen it by one turn.
Move the heated bed forward and backward. If the heated bed wobbles significantly, use an open-end wrench to adjust the adjustable hex eccentric spacers under the heated bed until it no longer wobbles and moves smoothly on the Y-axis.
After replacing the Y-axis pulley, perform auto bed leveling again. If the print result shows issues such as the nozzle pressing too hard on the bed or too much gap,
manually compensate for the Z-axis offset.
