While the Photon Mono M5s Pro features Leveling Free, manual recalibration is required in the following situations:
①The print platform has fallen to the ground.
②Replacement of the print platform or LCD screen.
③Print failure with the model not appearing on the print platform but inside the Resin Vat.
Loosen the platform knob and the four leveling screws on the print platform. Install the print platform onto the lever and tighten the platform knob to secure it.
Place the leveling test paper or A4 paper on the curing screen. Click "Z-axis Home" to set the Z-axis to zero.
Lower the platform by approximately 1.5-1.8mm, ensuring no up and down movement when pressing the platform and proper resistance when pulling out the leveling paper.
Finally, hold the platform and tighten the four screws.
Click "Check Leveling." If you feel significant resistance while pulling the leveling paper, manual calibration is successful.
If there isn't enough resistance, loosen the four leveling screws and repeat "Step 2: Leveling" until the standard is reached.
If you hear abnormal sounds during the operation of the Z-axis lead screw motor while using the Photon Mono M5s Pro, it may indicate a maintenance issue.
Typically, the Z-axis lead screw motor should undergo regular maintenance every three months,
or if you hear unusual noises during Z-axis movement, it indicates a need for maintenance.
Note: Avoid using lubricating oil as it may flow into the motor, damaging its internal structure.
Take off accessories such as the hood, Resin Vat, and print platform.
Use a lint-free cloth to clean the Z-axis lead screw, ensuring a smooth surface without dust or impurities.
Power on the device, select "Tools" - "Move Z" - "Z-axis Home" from the left menu.
Apply a small amount of lubricating grease along the height of the Z-axis lead screw.
Then, select the "50mm" distance and click the "Up Arrow" to move the arm upward.
Clicking four times should raise the arm to the top.
At this point, apply a small amount of lubricating grease again on the surface of the Z-axis lead screw.
Click "Z-axis Home" to reset the Z-axis to zero.
Perform one round trip to ensure that the lubricating grease smoothly covers the entire lead screw surface.
Finally, wipe off any excess lubricating grease.
After lubrication, perform test prints to ensure smooth Z-axis movement without abnormal noise.
If any issues persist, consult customer service or technical support for assistance.
The exposure screen of the Photon Mono M5s Pro is a crucial component responsible for imaging each layer of the model.
Failure to replace the release film promptly may result in resin curing on the exposure screen.
After completing a print, check the release film for cured resin. If residues are present, consider replacing the release film promptly.
The main function of the screen proector is to provide extensive protection for the exposure screen in the event of resin leakage,
preventing damage to the screen or resin infiltration into the internal components of the machine.
To ensure print quality and the normal operation of the device, it is recommended to replace the screen proector regularly.
If you notice stains on the screen proector that cannot be removed, which may affect the LCD screen exposure,
it is advisable to promptly replace the screen proector to ensure accuracy and clarity in printing.
The Resin Vat of the Photon Mono M5s Pro is essential for storing and supplying resin.
Some maintenance operations are required during the use of the Resin Vat to ensure the normal operation of the printer and the quality of the material.
Monitoring Function: Use the monitoring function to check the cumulative print count and layer count.
When the replacement cycle is reached, the machine will prompt you to replace the release film before the next print.
Print Failure: If a print fails, use the residue cleaning function to clear it.
According to the cumulative print count and layer count displayed in the monitoring function, replace the release film based on the machine's prompts.
If a model fails and there are obvious cured residues or printing issues, remove the print platform and use the residue cleaning function of the printer.
Follow the on-screen instructions for this operation.
If the printer will not be used for 48 hours, it is recommended to pour the resin in the Resin Vat back into the resin bottle.
Use a funnel and filter paper combination to filter and recycle the resin, or cover the resin box appropriately to prevent resin curing or dust entry.
